"Leave No Trace" Principles

Land managers have developed outdoor ethics guidelines that should govern the behavior of every backcountry visitor. There is the "Leave No Trace" a nonprofit organization and they have developed seven principles which are:

1. Plan Ahead & Prepare
2. Travel & Camp on Durable Surfaces
3. Minimize Campfire Impacts
4. Leave What You Find
5. Respect Wildlife
6. Be considerate of other visitors
7. Dispose of Waste Properly
