  • Cast Iron Hash Browns

    • Howdy,
    Need something to compliment the morning eggs, check it out.


    Ingredients:
    • 2 lbs shredded hash browns(frozen)
    • 1 cup half & half
    • 1 onion, finely chopped
    • 2 cups shredded swiss cheese(package or shred yourself)
    • 1/2 cup melted butter
    Directions:

    Stir mixture into large frying Cast Iron pan. Place on open fire with lid and cook 1 to 1 & 1/2 hours. Serves 6 to 8 adults

    All you need it to put in some eggs and bacon, or sausage and you will have an SOB. My dad also put in pork and beans.

      Cast Iron Cooking

      I love my Dutch Ovens. I used them for just about everything.

      Scalloped Potatoes are as easy as it gets. I got some pix hiding on my hard drive somewhere.

        Sounds wonderful!!!! Ya know, if you got some mighty fine recipes load them up here like I have with ingredients and directions! There are recipes that I have tried from other campateers as well as my own. Photos too...I always forget to take a pic of what I'm cooking until after it's gone, Ha Ha! Oh well! Me and the Misses loves' to eat! By all means, share what you know, it increases our knowledge base, by cracky!!
