Chili is one of my favorite things to take camping. I usually make it at home but I dehydrate it. That way it's easier to carry since I'm usually carrying a backpck. It'll keep for a while that way to without needing a cooler or anything to keep it from spoiling.
How do you dehydrate chili? I have a dehydrator I've made my trailmix and deer jerky and what not but i'm not even sure how I would go about making dehydrated chili. give me the steps on that and ill give you a review in a few weeks after my next outing.

Use the fruit roll-up trays and spread the chili out as thin as you can get it...dehydrate over night. In the morning flip the tray of chili over onto a new fruit roll-up tray and dehydrate for another 12 or so hours (untill the sauce turns into a powder like substance). Something like that.
