  • Cooking grates

Our first family camping weekend is planned for Father's Day weekend. But another stupid question first.

It looks like most (all?) campgrounds have fire rings at the sites. Do these include a cooking grate or is that something we have to bring ourselves if cooking over the campfire is something we'd like to do?

I would probably bring my own grate as most of what I have seen in most parks are steel and rusted.
Find yourself a fabrication shop and have them make you a grate out of food grade stainless...........a bit costlier but it's yours forever.
Make the bars thicker so the heat doesn't warp them.
