Here's one kind of camping stove that I use. Sure it's a little big for tenting, but it'll simmer cook grits without scalding them or burning them, same with coffee too. I also use a portable grill box for charcoal and any open campfire that we'll make. This is a Camp Chef, "Big Gas Grill", 33,000BTU per hour for each outlet and there are three of them. The legs break down for easy transport.

You have to have the space to carry it and it is heavy also and won't blow over in a strong wind.

One of my camping/riding buddies has something similar, that he bought from Sportsman's Warehouse. It also has an add-on griddle surface that makes cooking mounds of eggs and sausage easy.

Not to nose in, but Camp Chef where I bought mine is at:http://www.campchef.com PO Box 4057 Logan UT 84232.

The three burner is a TB90/SPG-90. They also manufacture a two and single burner.

Capt Hook, sadly no. They closed at the end of July - just over a year after they opened here. We are still mourning the loss. But, I have found other local outlets for camping gear.
