    Hoping one of our group of outdoors folks can answer this????
    We live in the White River bottoms. Only a couple small corn and soybean fields from house to river.
    Spring and fall it is typical to see large flocks of Sandhill cranes flying and down, gleaning fields in front of our digs.
    Seeing geese is also very common. Geese do stop overs on the river and in Ox Bowls and fields near us.
    But, not this time of year. Not in huge flocks. Yet, here they are, on the wing and down feeding???? Can hear them thru the front porch door.
    We live in Seymour Indiana, 50miles north of Louisville Kentucky and 50 miles south of Indianapolis Indiana.
    What may be going on???? Temp. 20 F. Four inches of snow on the ground.
