after bying the most up to date snow campping gear and modifying it for australian snow conditions i find my self going back to the childhood days when i scroungde and made my own gear for camping as the funn mostly was a sence of acheivement rather than bying it ready made and although i could not have gone into our windswept snowy mountain enviroments with out the manufactured items i now have the experience to by-pass this with my own home made approaches .
