"Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires!"
Howdy Campateers,
Late last night we got into a discussion elsewhere dealing with forest fires. So in-step here's a new place to discuss old ones that have affected you and to talk about new ones that will eventfully be started by lightening or other means.
For example...in 2005 there was a fire at the Mojave National Preserve in south eastern CA where Mid-Hills Campground lies. 2006 - 2007 Mid-Hills Campground has been closed. Since 2008 we have camped there at least once during each year till present. I like any other campateer here hates fires and imprisonment is a sure bet if the authorities catch the people responsible but this Hackberry Fire burned over 70,000 acres but it was started by seven different lightening strikes and high winds.
