  • coleman stove question...

Hey all, I just picked up a LNIB coleman stove manufactured in the '60's: a 425C. For the life of me, I can't get a definitive answer as to what fuel it uses. Coleman hasn't even given me a real answer. Does anyone know if this uses Coleman fuel or gasoline or both?

    Thanks in advance,
    -WRM

    coleman stove question...

That model of coleman stoves were made to run on White Gas. Should be able to pick that up at most camping stores, like REI. Just make sure all the lines are clear before you try lighting the stove.

      WRMorrison,

I can empathize with your problem. Camping stoves these days run on all kinds of stuff and, it is really unnecessary. Hope you get the right stuff.
