Keeping Cool Hiking

I'll be hiking some day trips in the Costra Rican rain forests. Any suggestions on keeping cool?

I've heard of some towels that one wets to keep cool. Are these effective? Worthwhile? Any recommended brands?

Any other comments, recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

There are many regions of Costa Rica. Many Americans also retire there! Desert Rose my bride was there a long time ago in a church camp setting. Hope this helps. She said it rains almost everyday and it's very humid, but the evenings are cool. Enjoy!
