Stocking up on the firewood...

I recently have an addiction to gathering free firewood. It started after I got sick of paying around 100 bucks for a load or wood everytime we went camping. Plus now I have a place to store it. I found an area near my home where the road dept had cut down trees and left them. Nice and free, just required a bit of work. So far I am up to 9 loads of just logs. 1 load from a local lumber yard. Everytime I exhuast 1 source, I find another. Will it stop? Maybe when my friend ( and camping partner) says we have enough. It is stored in his backyard.
How about some ideas or stories of free firewood to keep the winter months alive on here. Pics are nice too.

Free firewood is great...really hard to come by in Reno but up north a hundred miles timber is a big industry and nothin is free in these parts. To help keep the forum alive in the winter, get camping!
