  • Gift Idea

My best friend is getting married in a few weeks and I've been trying to find a gift for her and her fiance. They love the outdoors, camping, hiking, etc. I came across the Kelty Basecamp Bag and just wanted your opinion on it. I thought it was pretty unique gift cause anywhere along a hike they can easily prepare a meal and also the price is excellent. Has anyone used this bag or have something like it?

Hiker11, we have a similar Kelty product, the Binto Bar. It's a quality-built product with reinforced nylon stitching, thick denier, etc. I was able to purchase mine at a huge discount, otherwise I'd stick to my duffel bags. It replaced several of them and offered a countertop-like space as well. I think your BaseCamp Bag would make a fine gift and last many, many seasons:

“People have such a love for the truth that when they happen to love something else, they want it to be the truth; and because they do not wish to be proven wrong, they refuse to be shown their mistake. And so, they end up hating the truth for the sake of the object which they have come to love instead of the truth.”
