O'Leno State Park in High Springs, Florida (about an hour north of Gainesville -- home of the University of Florida Gators) is our favorite. Santa Fe River with a suspension bridge, numerous sink holes, really nice "hiking" trails, heavily wooded, decent fishing, plenty of the usual wildlife, nice facilities, great staff. Love it!

I absolutely love the Whites of New Hampshire - specifically Ethan Pond/Zealand Falls area.
But now I'm living in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, so my current choices aren't exactly chopped liver!

have camped in Big Sur in the 70's, and while stationed in Germany did some camping all around
Europe...2 places that I remember were an Island in the heart of France near Paris, and camping
on the beach in Spain on the Mediterranean Sea...
More recently have camped at Eisenhower State park, on Lake Texoma in Texas...live only 10 minutes
from there, but have only camped there a total of 3-4 times over the last 20 years or so...
just never seemed to have the time to just take off and go camping...now I do...Comment
