  • Baby Carrier

My wife found this - http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...questid=123260 - to carry our 10 month old. Is it a good product? Better Ideas?

Also, if anybody has tips of camping and hiking with babies I'd appreciate them

cadfael_tex - that's a private labeled Kelty FC 3.0. It gets pretty good marks for quality, safety, and usability. We always camped with our babies - no big deal, just take lots of wipes

Probably a good product. However, I wouldn't drop $210 on one.

We bought an Evenflo carrier for $20 at a Big Lots. It worked fine for our trip to California. I've heard that that model has been discontinued. However, kids grow out of stuff so I'm sure there are people trying to get rid of their carriers.

Just a note. We found a Kelty used that was last years (or year before) for about 75 bucks. Worked well for our trip to yellow stone (though the trip up the 650 feet from the lower falls was a bit tiring).
