    Call it a benefit of living in the middle of the desert. I keep my cast iron in the garage...no problems whatsoever.

      The cast iron lives in the camping totes unless brought home dirty. I have no issue with using soap and steel wool as I heat them to dry and wipe with crisco after use.

      nothing like bacon cooked in cast iron. I've got a new 15" skillet on the way. Can't wait to try it!
