Re: What's the craziest thing you've seen a trip leader do?
Not a guide, during a trip up Mount Blanca (near the dunes Nat'l Mnmt in southern Co.);
We were camped on the flatlands planning to get an early start the next day ...naturally were were consuming a few adult beverages...
...well, one thing lead to another and gradually the discussion grew more animated...
The organizer a rather large, voluble, individual seated in a lawn chair got rockin' and rollin'; then, as if to emphasize a point, he tipped over smack dab into a cactus patch...
...much jocularity ensued...
Enjoy!
2006 Jeep Rubicon, TJ; 4.11 gears, 31" tires, 4:1 transfer case, lockers in both axles
For DD & "civilized" camping; 2003 Ford explorer sport, 4wd; ARB & torsen diffs, 4.10 gears, 32" MTs.
Ground tents work best for me, so far.
Experience along with properly set up 4WD will get you to & through places (on existing, approved 4WD trails) that 4WD, alone, can't get to.
