    There aren't height limitations on tents etc in parks except for what the environment dictates (tree canopy, etc). The concern is the footprint and the time it takes to set it up. First of all, most park campgrounds have tent pads now. Their size may not be large enough for your tipi.
    Second, there may be a time limitation on how long you can stay at one site. The effort may not be worth the time. Third, you may be alot happier finding someplace that is not an organized campground to pitch your tipi. You can spread out and enjoy some seclusion. I have the same issues with my wall tent. I found that I am much happier away from the huddled masses.

    These are 4 season models and run in price more than Kodiak and Springbar, but may fit someone's desire.

      reno, that is so cool. If it were cold out I would love to have a campfire in my tent. I wonder what they cost.
