Hey fellow campers...
So I have to take this opportunity to recommend the book series "The Best in Tent Camping". I purchased the versions for NJ, NY, PA and MD and am thrilled with the information they provide. If the name wasn't obvious enough, the books focus primarily (almost entirely) on tent-only campsites or sites with tent-only areas.
Maps and reviews of each campsite are provided so at a glance I can easily pick which sites to check out first. The book touches on hiking trails in or near each campsite, activities available for campers and goes so far as to mention which individual tent sites are more rustic, primitive, secluded, nearer the bathrooms, public than others which is very helpful.
