My friends and I are planning a 7.5 day, 7 night camping trip in northern Maine. 10 people are going and we need to plan how much food, water, supplies we will need for the entire week. Any ideas, tips and tricks are more than welcome. We will be going early summer time just to give a general idea. This will not be in a traditional campground, it will be a tenting trip in the middle of the woods near water. Any advice is appreciated! Thank you.

Re: Need help
Bring plenty of insect repellent! The only time I was in Maine in the summer time I was a teenager....and I seem to recall nearly being carried away by the giant mosquitos! Ha!
Hopefully others can chime in with suggestions. If you are near a reliable water source, consider bringing a good water filter so that you don't have to bring so many water containers. Since you aren't going to be at a traditional campground, 7 nights is a long time without ready access to reliable, potable water.Nights camping in 2014: 18
