  • Tent fly tip

    Hi all..........
Found this tip somewhere on the net...........had to pass it on.
Set up your tent with the fly in your backyard well before your trip.
Get some bright coloured ribbon (the flourescent orange contruction site ribbon is good)...........tie a 6" length to the right front peg loop of your tent.
Tie a 6" length to the right front (matching) corner of your fly.
When you go to setup your tent at the site, just match up the 2 ribbons...........no more guessing which side of the fly goes where!

    Howdy Ontariocamper,
That's good advice if you only go camping once in a great while. But if you go camping often, I just say: "tent up" and she usually seems like she goes up all by herself and we roll her up from back to front, we never question that.:D

We were on a two week camping trip, and for five consecutive nights on our way back home we set our tent up in the dark and the rain. We made the the joke that we didn't know how to set up our tent in the daylight anymore.
