  • Cot tent adaptation suggestions needed

I recently bought a Kamprite cot tent from CL. It's a sound product, but being a little old, a little fat, and out of shape, I have problems getting into and out of the thing cause its too low. Any suggestions on raising the height without compromising the strength and stability?

Right off the top of my head:
If you or anyone you know has woodworking tools, cut some 4x4 lumber to just over the width of your cot and use a router to cut slight depressions for the feet to sit in. If that runs into stability issues, cut a center hole in the sides of each 4x4 to run a length of steel pipe through them.

Thx for the suggestion. I think I'm going to build a small table that can be componentized and set the cot on it.
