Check your inverter specs before trying to use a heating pad. At least one inverter I had said not to use heating pads or hair dryers. I don't remember why but I think it may have to do with the purely resistive load and large constant power draw. It very likely could overheat and damage your inverter if the inverter is not rated for a heating pad.
