Bway nos deeyus. New guy to the site.
I am looking for advice on camping in west virginia.
I dont pay to hike and I dont pay to camp. I find water and elevation of some kind far far far far away from any other person or town and I call it home for a couple days.
There all kinds of places to do this in WV as the population is under 2 million.
My question is to anyone that has first hand knowledge and Google isnt always able to provide people with every answer to every question like some people think.
Is hiking like this legal in WV? The sites ive looked all cover camp sites like koa or other camping facilities stuffed full of people. I cant find any mention of just running into the mountains and making a super low impact site.
Do I need to bring a 10mm to the hills with me for bear and possible melungeon moon-shiners?
Any help would be much appreciated!!
