Camping near Santa Clarita

We need some ideas on different camping areas. We have gone to Kings Canyon, Buena Vista and Kernville. We love going up to Kernville because its not to far away and there is plenty of trees and fishing. However they have stopped stocking the river and the fishing has gotten to about 0 each trip now. Any ideas on any parks closer to here (2 - 3 hours away) that has plenty of trees and good fishing beside Big Bear. Anything would be most helpful.:o

Welcome to the forum. You may want to edit your post and add the State. I know where your talking about, but others may not. There is a Buena Vista and even a Kernville here in Colorado too.

There is lake arrowhead in Cailfornia and it's worth checking out. Big Bear is way to over-crowded for even me.
